The Passionate Pines Mission

Passionate Pines Wildlife Rehabilitation is a private 501c3 wildlife rehab facility in Pine City, MN. Our mission is to rescue, raise, rehabilitate, and release injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife and to share our knowledge with people who care about them.

What We Do

Passionate Pines Wildlife Rehab is a licensed 501c3 nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates an average of 150 animals per year. We have specialized enclosures on site that enable us to take in large groups of foxes, coyotes, and raccoons from other rehab facilities. This helps us maintain natural social dynamics and prepare orphans and injured animals for release back into the wild, once they have received a clean bill of health. We also have quarantine facilities on site, which allow us to take in sick animals and provide them with the necessary medical and supportive care without compromising the well-being of healthy patients.

At Passionate Pines, we provide comprehensive nutrition, medical and preventative care, and enrichment for the animals under our care. We also use well-thought-out release techniques, such as coordinating with the individuals who found the animal to release it back where it was found when possible. For necessary species, we use soft releases, and we work with other rehabbers and researchers in the state to find release sites away from human interference.
